Below, you'll find an overview of what to anticipate during your visit and guidelines on communicating with us to optimize your experience.

Before Your Appointment

Pre-Visit Communication: We’ll send a reminder e-mail and a text about your appointment. Please make sure that you signed up for our texting system. If you need an estimate ahead of time please text us. Please arrive on time to help us keep the day running smoothly for all our clients and patients.

During Your Appointment

Check-In and Waiting Time: Upon arrival, our friendly staff will check you in. We strive to see each patient on time, however, occasionally emergencies may cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Consultation and Examination: Your pet’s health is our priority. Dr. Ezik will examine your pet and discuss any health concerns. Feel free to ask questions or express any worries you have about your pet’s health.

Open Communication: If you have any concerns about your pet’s care or the costs involved, please do not hesitate to speak up. We are here to provide explanations and reassurances. If you feel unsure or pressured, please let us know immediately. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed and confident in the decisions you make for your pet’s care.

Treatment Plan and Costs: Before any treatment begins, we will provide a detailed estimate of the costs. This will include all necessary treatments we believe are in the best interest of your pet’s health. We encourage you to ask questions—no question is too small if it concerns your pet’s health and your peace of mind.

To address the common question of 'Is this really necessary?' : we want to clarify that we do not provide 'luxury' treatments or tests. Each service we offer is carefully designed to meet a specific health need of your pet. Ensuring the well-being of your pet is our top priority, and we are committed to recommending only what is essential for their optimal care.

If Additional Treatments Are Needed: We will explain why these treatments are recommended and discuss any additional costs with you. Your approval is needed before we proceed.

Feedback and Follow-Up

After your visit, we may contact you to ensure your pet is doing well and to gather feedback. Your insights help us improve and continue providing high-quality care.

Considering a Second Opinion?

We understand that sometimes you may seek a second opinion regarding your pet’s health. To ensure you receive the most professional and unbiased advice, we encourage you to discuss this with us first. Rather than going to another local vet who might have conflicting interests, we can refer you to specialized experts in fields such as internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, etc., who are best suited to review complex cases. This approach helps ensure that the advice you receive is focused solely on the best outcome for your pet, without the potential for competitive biases.

How to Request a Referral: Simply let us know during your visit or contact us afterward if you are considering a second opinion. We are here to support your decision and will provide a referral to a specialist who is best suited to address your specific concerns.

By choosing a specialist referral through us, you gain access to top-tier experts and can feel confident that the focus is entirely on your pet's health and wellbeing.
